Our Commitment to You

Every Sellenes piece is handcrafted in Europe in limited series of 100 pieces per colour and model, individually numbered and registered. Your bag is designed to accompany you for many years, not seasons.

To honour this, Sellenes offers a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects in materials and craftsmanship under normal conditions of use. This warranty sits alongside – and does not replace – your rights under applicable consumer law.

Scope of the 24-Month Warranty


During the warranty period, Sellenes will, at its discretion, repair or replace any product that presents a manufacturing defect confirmed by our quality experts.Covered examples (non-exhaustive):Structural defects in leather, lining or construction seamsPremature failure of hardware (buckles, clasps, zips, rings, metal plates) due to manufacturing faultsDefects in edge-painting and glazing that appear abnormally early and are not linked to misuseIncorrect assembly or construction issues identified by our atelierRepairs or replacements carried out under warranty are offered free of charge (excluding any customs duties or local taxes that may apply, depending on your country of residence).

  • Exclusions – What Is Not Covered

    To remain aligned with luxury industry standards your Sellenes warranty does not cover:

     Normal wear and tear, including:

    • Softening of leather, minor creasing or stretch
    • Light scratches, small marks, patina and changes in texture
    • Fading or evolution of colour due to light, time, or contact with textiles

    Accidental damage or misuse, including:

    • Stains from liquids (water, cosmetics, perfume, oils, ink, wine, etc.)
    • Damage due to overfilling or carrying unsuitable weights
    • Deformation caused by improper storage

    External factors:

    • Colour transfer from clothing (e.g., dark denim on light leather/suede)
    • Damage caused by humidity, heat, sunlight exposure, or contact with abrasive surfaces

    Interventions by third parties:

    • Repairs, alterations, customisations or cleaning performed by non-authorised workshops
    • Use of aggressive cleaning products or care techniques not recommended by Sellenes 
    • Loss, theft or improper transport not organised through our customer care team
  • Eligibility & Validity of the Warranty

    To benefit from the Sellenes Warranty:

    1. Proof of purchaseAn original invoice, digital receipt or gift receipt from Sellenes or an authorised retail partner is required.
    2. Authentic productThe product must be a genuine Sellenes item, identified by its unique serial code and QR-linked digital certificate of authenticity (where applicable).
    3. Warranty periodThe request must be made within 24 months from the date of purchase indicated on your receipt.
    4. TerritoryThe Sellenes warranty applies to products purchased worldwide from Sellenes or authorised Sellenes retailers. Purchases from unauthorised sellers or resale platforms are not eligible.
    Note: Where local consumer law grants longer or additional protections, those rights remain fully applicable and are not limited by this policy.
  • Registration & Digital Certificate

    Each eligible Sellenes bag is accompanied by:

    • A unique serial code and, where applicable, an internal QR code
    • Access to a digital certificate of authenticity and product registration form

    We recommend registering your product via the QR code on the card that came with your Sellenes bag or use

    • Registration helps us verify authenticity and purchase details quickly
    • Simplifies future warranty or repair requests
    • Allows you to receive tailored care recommendations and product updates

    Registration is recommended but not mandatory where consumer law prohibits making warranty coverage dependent on registration.

  • Care & Maintenance

    Luxury leather pieces evolve with time and require considered care. To protect your Sellenes bag and maintain warranty validity, we recommend:

    • Storing the bag in its dust bag, upright and loosely filled, away from direct light and heat
    • Avoiding overloading or carrying excessive weight
    • Keeping away from liquids, oils, alcohol-based products and abrasive surfaces
    • Avoiding prolonged contact with dark or unstable textiles (especially denim) on light leathers and suedes
    • Using only Sellenes-recommended care products or trusted professional leather care services

  • How to Request a Warranty Evaluation

    If you believe your product presents a defect covered by the Sellenes Warranty, please follow these steps:

    1.      Contact Customer Care
    • Use the “Warranty & Repairs” form on our website or email our team
    • Provide your full name, contact details and country of residence
    1. Prepare supporting documentsProof of purchase (invoice, digital receipt, or gift receipt)Serial number and/or QR internal ID (if available)Clear photos or short video showing:The complete productThe area(s) of concern (close-ups)
    2. Initial assessmentOur team will review your request and confirm:Whether the issue appears to fall under the warrantyNext steps, including shipping instructions or boutique drop-off (where available)
    3. Sending your productPack the item securely (ideally in its original dust bag and box).Remove all personal items from inside the bag.Follow the shipping instructions provided by Customer Care.
  • Evaluation & Possible Outcomes

    Once received, your product is examined by Sellenes craftsmen and quality experts.

    After evaluation, we will inform you of one of the following outcomes:

    1. Covered by warrantyWe will:Repair the item to restore its functionality and aesthetic as far as technically possible, orReplace the item with the same model, colour and size, if available, orOffer a comparable Sellenes item or store credit if the original is no longer producible.
    2. Not covered by warranty but repairableWe may offer a paid repair proposal:Detailed description of the recommended workEstimated costEstimated timeframeWork will begin once you have approved the quote.
    3. Not repairableIf, in rare cases, the product is technically irreparable, we will:Return it to you, orOffer alternatives where possible (e.g. partial credit) – at Sellenes’ discretion.

    If you do not accept a paid repair proposal, we will return the product to you in its existing condition.
